Brown Bag Luncheons

Lunch getaway every 2nd & 4th Wednesdays, 12 pm – 1:30 pm in the second floor lounge.  Bring your own lunch and enjoy the sights of this wonderful historical landmark building as well as the camaraderie of other art enthusiasts.

 

 

Costume Ball

Fall themed costume ball (Scarab Club tradition since early 1900s).  Live music, food, and libations.  NEW since 2007, late night entry after 10pm.

 

 

Noel Night

Detroit’s kick-off to the holiday season.  A winter evening of fun in Midtown Detroit’s Cultural Center.

Chamber Music Series

A form of classical music performed with a limited number of instruments in a small venue.  The Chamber Music Series offers a series of concerts throughout the year.  Subscription and single tickets available.

Blues Heritage Concert Series

A collaboration between the Scarab Club and Detroit Blues Society this concert series occurs several times per year.  Tickets available at the door.

Guest Artist Sketch Sessions

Bi-weekly sketch sessions led by guest artist/educator offering a blend of life drawing, informal class and critique.  Fee required.  Discounted fee for members.

Downtown Literary Arts Series

Presented by Springfed Arts-Metro Detroit Writers, Poets & Writers, Inc. & the Scarab Club.  Weekly readings on Sundays, from 2 pm – 4 pm.  Free and open to the public.  Beginning January 2009.

 

 

Writing Workshops

All writers welcome.  Fee required - $100 members, $140 non-members.  Need to be registered before class begins on Monday, October 6.  Class enrollment limited.
